- Click here to see the video version of this tutorial. - Open an image, for this example I will be using my favorite Kate Winslet's picture:
Now in the picture I don't like Leonardo with my favorite girl. So what we'll do is basically kick him out of the scene. To do this I will use my favorite the crop tool. Now let me show you how exactly it is done: - From the tool box on your left, click on this one: - I actually changed my mind, now I want to get rid of the name TITANIC, the site URL and some silly copyright on the left of the image as well. So using the crop tool make a selection like this:
Before I do my final task let me explain the little selection over here. The dark part of this selection will be removed, using the little star in the middle you can move your selection, the squares on the sides will let you increase or decrease the selection and finally the brighter part of the image is what will remain free. - Now click RETURN or ENTER on your keyboard. - Your final result should be like below:
*** To make the picture bit better go to Image - Adjustment - Brightness & Constrast and change Brightness to: +74 and click ok *** |
