- Click here to see the video version of this tutorial. - Open a 500 x 500 pixels sized PSD document. - Grab the rounded rectangular tool (
- Now, make a pretty big large pill shape like below:
- If you are wondering what does the radius does, it dictates how round the rectangle edges will be :). - From the Layers Palette, double click on the red marked area and change the color to whatever you want. For this tutorial I chose, (#33ccff).
- If the non red rectangle of above image looks like yours, then click on that grey shape and you will see a grey border appearing. You know what I will just how you a screenshot... your shape 2 layer should look this:
- Grab the rectangular tool (
- Now, make a selection like this on your shape:
- Select the path selection tool (
- Grab the rectangular tool (
- Now make a selection like this on your shape:
- Select the path selection tool (
- Now select the path selection tool (
- If for some reason it doesn't delete at the same time, just do it again to cut it twice. - Now apply some effects on the shape, write text to make it more professional. - This is what my final result looks like:
